Electric Boat Quonset Point Facility
The 125-acre-plus Quonset Point site fabricates pressure-hull cylinders and outfits them into modules and supermodules for Virginia- and Columbia-class submarines, which are barged to Groton and Newport News. Electric Boat planned about 3,250 new Quonset positions as of August 2026.

Building 9C (final phase of 9-series building)
Electric Boat broke ground April 18, 2023 on Building 9C at Quonset Point, a 220,000 sq ft manufacturing building plus 25,000 sq ft administrative building to expand outfitting for Virginia Payload Module and Columbia-class work, with delivery targeted for the fourth quarter of 2024.
